How It Works — 4 Simple Steps

Step 1 — Contact Us First

Before sending anything, get in touch to describe the fault. Email us at support@technologycore.uk or call +44 116 208 1675 (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm). Tell us the make, model, and what the laptop is doing. We’ll confirm we can help and give you the address to send it to.

Step 2 — Send Your Laptop to Us

Pack your laptop securely — ideally in a padded box — and send it to us by tracked and insured post. We recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery or a tracked courier such as DPD or Parcelforce. Please include a note with your name, contact number, and a brief description of the fault.

You are responsible for the cost of sending the laptop to us. We recommend insuring the parcel for its full value.

Step 3 — Free Diagnostic & Written Report

Once we receive your laptop, our technicians will carry out a full diagnostic inspection at no charge. We will then send you a clear, written report detailing:

  • Exactly what the fault is
  • What parts or work are required to fix it
  • The total repair cost — with no hidden fees
  • An estimated turnaround time

There is no obligation to proceed. The diagnostic is completely free whether you go ahead with the repair or not.

Step 4 — You Decide

Happy to proceed? Simply approve the repair by email or phone and make payment. Once the repair is complete, we’ll return your laptop to you by tracked, insured post at our cost. Most repairs are completed within 3–5 working days of your approval.

Not happy to proceed? No problem at all. If you decide not to go ahead after receiving your diagnostic report, we will return your laptop to you at our cost — you pay absolutely nothing.
